Jennifer's Journey

Exercise has been a crucial part of my own journey with cancer, helping me manage and heal, and now I feel a strong desire to support other breast cancer patients in embracing movement along their path.

I've always been passionate about staying active and helping others. In 2015 and 2017, I became a Beachbody Coach and earned my Integrative Wellness & Life Coach Certification from the Integrative Wellness Academy.

On December 21, 2021, my life took a turn when I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Estrogen positive, Her2 positive, Stage 1 breast cancer. While I was incredibly grateful for the fantastic care from my medical team, one thing that wasn’t mentioned was the importance of incorporating exercise during my surgeries and treatments. If it hadn’t been for my previous experiences, I might not have realized how beneficial it was to keep moving, even in a modified way. Having control over this part of my journey felt empowering, both mentally and physically.

Once I completed my reconstruction and chemotherapy, I knew I had to help other breast cancer patients find their own way to include exercise and movement in their lives. That's when I discovered the Cancer Exercise Training Institute and earned my Cancer Exercise Specialist certification.

I'm excited to share the benefits of exercise with other breast cancer survivors as they navigate treatment, recovery, and everything that comes after. Together, we can empower each other through movement!
